Scotland’s most prestigious yacht racing regatta is delighted to announce headline sponsors Silvers Marine. The new owners of the iconic Scottish Boatyard Silver Hills, Rosneath, have confirmed their support and sponsorship for the 40th Anniversary of the Scottish Series Regatta. The event, organised by the Clyde Cruising Club (CCC), has gained much recognition over the years and will be celebrating 40 years of success as Silvers Marine Scottish Series 2014. Scotland’s Minister for Children and Young People boarded The Prince’s Trust’s unique schooner, Spirit, and Ocean Youth Trust Scotland’s volunteer training yacht, Alba Volunteer, to find out how the two charities are using sail training to change young lives. Aileen Campbell MSP joined young people who have completed voyages on Spirit, through sail training programmes run by The Prince’s Trust and Ocean Youth Trust Scotland, as well as young people supported by other Prince’s Trust programmes, to hear their experiences of overcoming challenges and moving into jobs and education. The Deal includes the buildings, offices, sheds and storage facilities including the yards slipways and moorings along with all plant & equipment. This will bring to a successful conclusion GSS’ nine year search for permanent premises for their international marine support company. With their HQ in Scotland, GSS also have offices in the Netherlands and Australia. Their fleet of multi role marine support vessels are currently working in the Dredging Cable Laying and Oil and Gas Sectors from Russia to Australia including Africa and Europe.
