Day two of Silvers Marine Scottish Series provided the perfect conditions for the fleet.  But as always there were some notable performances.

Alan Dunnet’s Valhalla of Ashton, which has sailed in every Scottish Series, had an excellent first two races on Saturday scoring a third and a first.  And in IRC Class 1, the three Commodore Cup boats, Jamie McGarry and Colin Moore’s Eala of Rhu, Steve Cowie with Zephyr and Rod Stuart’s Aurora fill all the podium positions, but no-one is, as yet, dominating the class.

The wind which was blowing a leeward 9 – 15 knots provided the perfect conditions for being out on Loch Fyne.  And as all classes sailed on the same course, they made for a colourful spectacle for sailors and spectators alike.

Saturday night sees the main celebrations for the 40th anniversary taking place in Tarbert before hitting the water again tomorrow for another day’s racing on Loch Fyne.
