BotanistSilvers Marine Scottish Series is delighted to announce the return of one of its most popular sponsors, The Botanist Islay Dry Gin, for this year’s regatta.  Not only that, but The Botanist will be joined by Bruichladdich, the renowned Single Malt whisky from the same distillery.

With just over four weeks until the 41st Silvers Marine Scottish Series, places are filling up fast and this partnership is an indication of the level of support for the regatta from industry leaders.

Having headlined as a sponsor for the first time last year, The Botanist was a very popular addition to the Scottish Series list of sponsors.

Silvers Marine Scottish Series Chairman Dane Ralston welcomed the announcement saying, “I am thrilled The Botanist has chosen to support Scottish Series again this year and that we will also welcome Bruichladdich to our family of supporters.  Sponsorship support is crucial for the future of Scottish Series, and to welcome such well known names to the table is wonderful news.  We are very much looking forward to working with Bruichladdich to make this a long and fruitful relationship.”

Dane continued, “We are delighted with the number of entries and we are looking forward to an excellent weekend of racing on some of the best sailing waters in the country.”

Of course, not only is the House of Bruichladdich a local sponsor, given its distilleries on the island of Islay, but the brand fits very well with the ethos behind Scottish Series.  Both brands strive for excellence and innovation, they have deep rooted historical links and, of course, both rely on the natural assets of Scotland.

As Bruichladdich master distiller Jim McEwan says:

“We believe in innovation and progress, in constantly striving to produce a spirit with intergrity and provenance. A spirit to put a smile on your face wherever you are and to help you close your eyes and quietly dream of Islay.”

So whether you’re a competitor or a spectator,  Scottish Series promises to be an exciting weekend of racing on the water or a great few days shoreside.
